Role Summary
The Resident Engineer will be responsible for the on-site supervision and technical oversight of water infrastructure projects. The role requires strong field experience in water project supervision and the ability to coordinate contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to ensure successful and compliant project delivery.
This is a senior site-based engineering role requiring solid experience in similar water-related infrastructure works.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities on water infrastructure projects.
- Ensure execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and project standards.
- Monitor contractor performance and enforce compliance with contract terms.
- Coordinate site inspections and testing procedures.
Technical Oversight
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
- Verify quantities and certify completed works.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance and quality control procedures.
- Support resolution of technical issues arising on site.
Project Coordination
- Act as the primary on-site representative between the client and contractors.
- Attend progress meetings and prepare site reports.
- Track progress against the project schedule.
- Escalate delays or technical risks to senior management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all works comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Monitor implementation of HSE policies on site.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum 15 years of experience, OR
- Master’s Degree in Engineering with minimum 10 years of experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar water infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in:
- Water project supervision
- STP projects
- Pipeline construction
- Water tank projects
- Strong on-site construction supervision background
Certification
- Professional engineering certifications are preferred (if available)
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent (Mandatory)
- Arabic: Fluent (Mandatory)
Working Conditions
- On-site role across Riyadh – Dammam – Jeddah – Mecca
- Full-time commitment for the entire Four (4) Year project duration
- Travel between project locations as required
