Role Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supervising and supporting mechanical works across major water infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role requires familiarity with water technical standards in KSA and demonstrated global experience in similar water-related projects.
This is a site-based engineering position ensuring mechanical systems are installed, tested, and commissioned in compliance with project specifications and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Works Supervision
- Supervise installation of mechanical systems in water and STP projects.
- Monitor installation of pumps, valves, piping systems, and mechanical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with approved mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Review contractor method statements and material submittals.
Technical Compliance
- Ensure adherence to water technical standards in KSA.
- Apply global best practices in mechanical engineering execution.
- Conduct inspections and verify proper alignment, installation, and testing of equipment.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical issues on site.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and ICA teams for system integration.
- Participate in technical meetings and progress reviews.
- Support commissioning and performance testing of mechanical systems.
- Prepare technical reports and inspection documentation.
Quality & Safety
- Ensure quality control procedures are followed for mechanical works.
- Support HSE team in enforcing safety standards during installation and lifting operations.
- Monitor contractor compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar water infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated familiarity with water technical standards in KSA.
- Proven global experience in water project environments.
- Experience in:
- Water Projects
- STP facilities
- Pumping stations
- Mechanical systems for pipeline and water tank projects
Certification
- Professional mechanical engineering certifications are advantageous (if available).
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent (Mandatory)
- Arabic: Fluent (Mandatory)
Working Conditions
- On-site role across Riyadh – Dammam – Jeddah – Mecca
- Full-time engagement for the entire Four (4) Year project duration
- Travel between project locations as required
