Role Summary
The CAD/GIS Operator will support engineering and project teams by preparing, updating, and managing technical drawings and GIS data for major water infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. The role requires prior experience in water drawings and strong proficiency in CAD and GIS systems.
This is a technical support role ensuring accurate documentation, mapping, and drawing management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
CAD Drafting & Drawing Management
- Prepare and update civil, mechanical, and electrical drawings for water projects.
- Develop detailed drawings for pipelines, STP facilities, and water tanks.
- Ensure all drawings comply with approved project standards and specifications.
- Maintain revision control and drawing registers.
GIS Data Management
- Manage and update GIS databases related to water infrastructure.
- Input and verify spatial data for pipelines and network systems.
- Generate maps and spatial reports to support engineering teams.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of geospatial information.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with engineers and project managers to incorporate design revisions.
- Support site teams with updated as-built drawings.
- Participate in document submission processes.
- Assist in preparing final handover documentation.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to water technical standards in KSA (as applicable to drawings).
- Maintain organized digital and physical drawing archives.
- Support QA/QC teams in verifying drawing compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Appropriate University Degree (Minimum Requirement)
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience preparing water-related drawings.
- Experience in:
- Water Projects
- STP facilities
- Pipeline layouts
- Water tank drawings
- Strong proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar).
- Experience using GIS platforms for infrastructure mapping.
Certification
- CAD or GIS professional certifications are advantageous (if available).
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent (Mandatory)
- Arabic: Fluent (Mandatory)
Working Conditions
- On-site role across Riyadh – Dammam – Jeddah – Mecca
- Full-time engagement for the entire Four (4) Year project duration
- Travel between project locations as required
