Role Summary

The Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commissioning activities for water infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong familiarity with water technical standards in KSA and hands-on experience in commissioning water, STP, pipeline, and tank systems.

This is a senior technical site role ensuring that all systems are tested, validated, and fully operational in compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

Commissioning Planning & Execution

  • Develop detailed commissioning plans and procedures.
  • Coordinate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Conduct system testing, inspections, and performance verification.
  • Ensure readiness of systems prior to handover.

Technical Oversight

  • Verify installation compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
  • Review technical submittals and method statements related to commissioning.
  • Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Support troubleshooting and system optimization.

Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with water technical standards in KSA.
  • Confirm adherence to project specifications and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain detailed commissioning documentation and reports.

Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with engineering, construction, and operations teams.
  • Attend progress and technical meetings.
  • Prepare commissioning status reports for project management.
  • Support final handover documentation and client approvals.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Requirements

  • Proven experience in commissioning of water infrastructure projects.
  • Strong background in:
    • Water Projects
    • STP projects
    • Pipeline systems
    • Water tank projects
  • Demonstrated familiarity with water technical standards in KSA.
  • Experience in system testing, validation, and operational readiness.

Certification

  • Professional commissioning or engineering certifications are advantageous (if available).

Language Requirements

  • English: Fluent (Mandatory)
  • Arabic: Fluent (Mandatory)

Working Conditions

  • On-site role across Riyadh – Dammam – Jeddah – Mecca
  • Full-time engagement for the entire Four (4) Year project duration
  • Travel between project locations as required
