Role Summary
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project documentation related to water infrastructure projects across Saudi Arabia. The role ensures accurate document control procedures are implemented and that all technical, contractual, and administrative documentation is properly recorded, distributed, and archived.
This position supports engineering, construction, and project management teams by maintaining document integrity and compliance with project standards.
Key Responsibilities
Document Control & Management
- Maintain a centralized document control system for project records.
- Register, track, and distribute incoming and outgoing documents.
- Ensure all drawings, specifications, and reports are properly logged and archived.
- Monitor document revisions and maintain version control accuracy.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for document submissions.
- Ensure timely circulation of approved drawings and technical documents.
- Prepare document status reports and tracking logs.
- Support audits and document compliance reviews.
Compliance & Record Keeping
- Ensure adherence to project document control procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of project documentation.
- Organize digital and physical filing systems.
- Assist in preparation of final handover documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Appropriate University Degree (Minimum Requirement)
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in similar infrastructure or construction projects.
- Experience supporting:
- Water Projects
- STP projects
- Pipeline projects
- Water tank projects (preferred)
- Familiarity with document management systems and project documentation standards.
Certification
- Document control or project administration certifications are advantageous (if available).
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent (Mandatory)
- Arabic: Fluent (Mandatory)
Working Conditions
- On-site role across Riyadh – Dammam – Jeddah – Mecca
- Full-time engagement for the entire Four (4) Year project duration
- Travel between project locations as required
