Your Role
As a Barista, you’ll be the face of our café — crafting beverages, engaging with guests, and maintaining a clean, organized, and positive workspace. You’ll work closely with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations and uphold our commitment to quality.
Start time: 6:30 AM (including weekends)
Compensation: BC minimum wage + tips; performance review after 2–3 weeks with potential increase
Schedule: Part-time with flexible availability (approx. 20 hours/week)
About the Role:
We’re looking for a friendly, presentable, customer-oriented Barista to join our Shipyards team. You’ll craft great coffee, keep the bar spotless, and make every guest feel welcome—especially during early morning rushes.
What You’ll Do:
Prepare espresso drinks and café beverages to spec and speed
Deliver warm, professional service at the till and pickup counter
Open the café for 6:30 AM shifts and support weekend operations
Keep stations clean, stocked, and safe; follow food-safe standards
Work smoothly with the team during peak times
Must-Haves:
Experience: 1+ year as a barista (dial-in, milk texturing, service flow)
Availability: Reliable for 6:30 AM starts, including weekends
Commute: Lives nearby or can reliably commute to the Shipyards area
People skills: Friendly, presentable, and customer-focused
