Role Summary

The ICA Engineer will be responsible for supervising and supporting instrumentation, control, and automation systems across major water infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role requires familiarity with water technical standards in KSA and hands-on experience in similar water-related projects.

This is a site-based engineering position ensuring instrumentation and control systems are installed, configured, tested, and commissioned in compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities

Instrumentation & Control Supervision

  • Supervise installation of instrumentation and control systems in water and STP projects.
  • Monitor installation of PLCs, SCADA systems, control panels, and field instruments.
  • Ensure proper calibration and configuration of sensors and transmitters.
  • Review contractor method statements and technical submittals related to ICA works.

Technical Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to water technical standards in KSA.
  • Verify compliance with project electrical and automation specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and witness FAT/SAT testing activities.
  • Support troubleshooting and optimization of control systems.

Integration & Commissioning

  • Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and civil teams for system integration.
  • Support commissioning of pumping stations, treatment systems, and automation controls.
  • Ensure SCADA integration aligns with operational requirements.
  • Prepare commissioning and testing reports.

Quality & Safety

  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed for ICA works.
  • Support HSE compliance in all instrumentation and electrical activities.
  • Monitor contractor adherence to safety standards during installation and testing.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in similar water infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with water technical standards in KSA.
  • Experience in:
    • Water Projects
    • STP facilities
    • Pumping stations
    • SCADA and PLC systems
    • Instrumentation and automation systems

Certification

  • Professional certifications in automation, PLC, or SCADA systems are advantageous (if available).

Language Requirements

  • English: Fluent (Mandatory)
  • Arabic: Fluent (Mandatory)

Working Conditions

  • On-site role across Riyadh – Dammam – Jeddah – Mecca
  • Full-time engagement for the entire Four (4) Year project duration
  • Travel between project locations as required
