Role Summary
The Mechanical Site Inspector will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring mechanical works across construction and infrastructure projects from a mechanical perspective. The role requires solid experience in implementation and supervision within infrastructure environments, particularly in water-related projects.
This is a site-based technical role ensuring mechanical installations are executed in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Inspection & Supervision
- Inspect mechanical works including pumps, piping systems, valves, and related equipment.
- Verify installation compliance with approved mechanical drawings and specifications.
- Monitor contractor performance during implementation activities.
- Witness testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Construction Oversight
- Supervise infrastructure works from a mechanical point of view.
- Ensure alignment between civil, electrical, and mechanical installations.
- Review contractor method statements related to mechanical activities.
- Report deviations and recommend corrective actions.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to project quality standards and inspection procedures.
- Verify material approvals and installation practices.
- Maintain inspection records and site documentation.
- Support QA/QC team in closing non-conformities.
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily and weekly inspection reports.
- Coordinate with Mechanical Engineers and Construction Managers.
- Participate in site meetings and technical reviews.
- Support final inspection and handover processes.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Post-Secondary Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Related Field
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in construction and infrastructure implementation and supervision from a mechanical perspective.
- Experience in:
- Water Projects
- STP facilities
- Pumping stations
- Pipeline and water tank mechanical installations
- Strong knowledge of mechanical inspection standards and site supervision practices.
Certification
- Mechanical inspection certifications are advantageous (if available).
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent (Mandatory)
- Arabic: Fluent (Mandatory)
Working Conditions
- On-site role across Riyadh – Dammam – Jeddah – Mecca
- Full-time engagement for the entire Four (4) Year project duration
- Travel between project locations as required
