Role Summary
The Quantity Surveyor Engineer will be responsible for managing measurement, cost estimation, and commercial activities across major water infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia. The role requires strong experience in construction and infrastructure projects, particularly in implementation and supervision environments.
This is a site-based commercial and technical role ensuring accurate cost control, contract compliance, and financial monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying & Measurement
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for civil and infrastructure works.
- Verify site measurements and certify completed works.
- Review contractor interim payment applications.
- Prepare variation assessments and cost breakdowns.
Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
- Monitor project budgets and expenditure.
- Track cost variations and prepare financial reports.
- Support cost forecasting and financial planning.
- Assist in preparation of final accounts.
Contract & Commercial Support
- Support contract administration activities related to commercial matters.
- Review BOQs and contract documents.
- Evaluate claims and contractual variations.
- Ensure compliance with contractual financial obligations.
Project Coordination
- Coordinate with engineering and construction teams.
- Participate in progress and commercial review meetings.
- Support management with cost-related data and analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 7 years of professional experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in:
- Construction projects
- Infrastructure implementation and supervision
- Water-related projects (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and cost management.
Certification
- Professional QS or cost management certifications are advantageous (if available).
Language Requirements
- English: Fluent (Mandatory)
- Arabic: Fluent (Mandatory)
Working Conditions
- On-site role across Riyadh – Dammam – Jeddah – Mecca
- Full-time engagement for the entire Four (4) Year project duration
- Travel between project locations as required
